Norman DeForrest Wilder, 67, died Saturday, June 3, 2000, in Lafayette Home Hospital. He was born June 9, 1932, at El Paso, IL, and graduated from schools in Bloomington/Normal, IL. He married his wife, Leni, in Germany, and she survives.

Mr. Wilder had been a longtime Lafayette resident. In 1994, he retired from State Farm Insurance Company, where he had worked for almost 40 years. He was an Air Force veteran, serving in Germany from 1951 to 1954.

Surviving with his wife are a son, Daniel Wilder; two daughters, Linda Potorff and Deborah Smith; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Diane Lynn Wilder.
