Mrs. L. L. Alkire, 80, of Denver, Colo, died of a stroke Wednesday afternoon in Tucson, Ariz., while on a motor trip. She was born in Tippecanoe county, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James E. Henderson, and was married to L. L. Alkire in 1901, but had lived in Denver the last forty years.
Surviving are the husband; two sisters, Mrs. Edward Ogborn, Lafayette; and Mrs. Laura Coleman, New York, N.Y.; a brother Oliver M. Henderson, Lafayette Route 2; and a half-brother, Charles Sterret, Butte, Mont. The body will arrive here at noon Saturday, and will be taken to the Rogers-Henderson funeral home, where friends may call after 7 p.m. Saturday.
