Michael Lee “Hobo” Benoit, 65, passed away Dec. 17, 2017.
He was born in Lake Charles, and lived here most of his life. He was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church. He worked for LA Tank as a disposal operator and Big Diamond as a truck driver.
He is survived by his wife, Marianna Benoit of Lake Charles; sister, Justine Bessie Martin of Pasadena, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Velmont and Rose Swire Benoit; brothers, Velmont “Skipper” Benoit Jr and Garland L. Benoit; sister, Gloria Dean Salinas.
Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 23, 2017, at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles. Visitation will be Friday from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. with a rosary at 6 p.m. and resume Saturday at 9 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Consolata Cemetery.
