Rena W. Stone, 87 WINDHAM -- Rena W. Stone, 87, of Pope Road, passed away Friday, March 6, 2009, at Mercy Hospital. Born in Gorham on Oct. 1, 1921, she was the daughter of Willard L. and Vernor S. (Smith) Bickford.

She was employed at Blue Cross Blue Shield retiring from there on Dec. 28, 1984. Rena was a member of the Windham Friends Meeting House Church.

She was predeceased by her husbands, Arthur Woods, who was reported missing in action on Jan. 4, 1944, Malcolm W. Jordan on Feb. 18, 1960 and Ernest H. Stone on Sept. 30, 2007; her son, Norman W. Jordan Sr.; and sister, Vivian Morrell.

Surviving are one daughter, Sharon Jordan with whom she resided, two step-daughters, Laure McKeen and her husband, Richard Sr. of Windham and Cynthia Sakshaug of Sedro Wooley, Wash.; three grandchildren, Norman Jordan Jr. and his wife Melissa, and Scott Jordan, all of Windham and Jonathan DiTomaso of Woodbridge, Va.; four great-grandchildren, Rachel Jordan, Danielle Jordan, Caitlin Jordan and Isabella DiTomaso; one sister, Ardelle Learnard and her husband Henry of Bradley, Ill.; and sister-in-law, Mabel Murphy of Vassalboro.

There will be no visiting hours. A graveside service will be held in the spring. Arrangements are by the Dolby Funeral Chapel, Windham. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her memory to: The Windham Rescue Association P.O. Box 330 Windham, Maine 04062
