Bobbie L. Staats was born November 25, 1929 in rural Jasper County, southwest of Carthage, MO. He passed away Thursday, April 26, 2018 at the age of 88. Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. Monday, April 30, 2018 at McGilley State Line Chapel with a memorial service starting at 4 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Missouri Veterans Home, 1300 Veterans Rd., Warrensburg, MO 64043.

Bobbie was a Korean War Army veteran and was a lifetime member of the VFW Post No. 2590 in Carthage, MO. He graduated from Alba High School in 1947. He worked for Carthage Marble Corp. for 60 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Marie Staats, and two sisters, Betty Yokum and Mary Ward. Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Donna Staats, formerly Donna Bayless; 6 children: Larry (Nicky) Staats, Gloria (Jim) Staats, Pam (Larry) Huebner, Randy (Pam) Staats, Curt (Mary Sue) Staats and Michelle (David) Hanneman; 13 grandchildren; and 5 great granddaughters.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Missouri Veterans Home, 1300 Veterans Road, Warrensburg, MO 64043.

Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Donna Staats; six children: Larry (Nicky) Staats, Gloria Staats (Jim), Pam (Larry) Huebner, Randy (Pam) Staats, Curt (Mary Sue) Staats, and Michelle (David) Hanneman; 13 grandchildren; and five great-granddaughters.
