Betty J. (Lidster) Aldridge, age 87, of Monticello, Indiana, formerly of Lafayette, Indiana, passed away at 3 PM on Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at St. Anthony’s Healthcare in Lafayette.

Born on December 13, 1930 in South Raub, IN, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Lillian (Sinclair) Lidster.

She married Edward Aldridge on June 24, 1951 in Battle Ground, IN and he preceded her in death on March 9, 2003.

Betty graduated from Battle Ground High School in 1949. She was a member of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed knitting, sewing, reading and attending her family’s sports and activities.

Surviving are four children; one foster daughter; nine grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren.

Betty is preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, John Lidster; and sister, Alice White.

Friends may call from 12:30 to 2:00 p.m. on Monday, April 30, 2018 at Hippensteel Funeral Home with service to follow at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Ryan Traeger officiating. Interment will follow at Rest Haven Cemetery.
