A kind, loving, gentle person has left us, leaving a void to all who knew and loved her. Eleanor left a rich legacy through her talent of writing - history, journals, genealogy, poetry and thoughts. She also loved to read, quilt, crochet, work crossword puzzles, cook and work in her yard. She also baked the best bread in the world. She loved and appreciated nature and especially loved the mountains.
She was a homemaker and member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Also a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers.
She is survived by one son, four daughters, Gerald (Frances) Curtis, Tooele; Leona Bodell, Sandy; Carol (DeLaine) Green, Ogden; Ileen (John) Barrett, Lehi; and Judy Hurley, Las Vegas, Nevada. She has 24 grandchildren, 57 great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren. Also survived by a sister, May Fackrell, Salt Lake City. Preceded in death by her husband, four grandchildren, and nine brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be held Friday, 11 a.m., at Lindquist's Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may call at the mortuary on Thursday from 6-8 p.m. and Friday from 10-10:45 a.m. Interment: Murray City Cemetery.
