Joyce Ann (Lorenz) Berg, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, was born July 1, 1935 in St. Louis, MO., to Andrew and Georgia (Drew) Lorenz, died April 24, 2018 in Sun City Center, FL.
She is survived by her daughter, 2 sons, 7 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents and husband, Gerard James (Jerry) Berg.
Joyce and Jerry owned and operated the Hospitality Hill Resort in Rockaway Beach, MO., until Jerry’s death in 1996. Joyce was employed at the Taney County Head Start program as a highly admired Family Advocate for over 30 years.
Joyce was also a respected and well-known member of her community. Throughout her years in Rockaway Beach she served on the Chamber of Commerce and the board at Silver Creek Condominiums as the Secretary and Treasurer. Joyce was also instrumental in the planning and development of a library in Rockaway Beach where she faithfully volunteered as a librarian.
