Ada J. Borman Passes Away at Local Hospital
Ada J. Borman, 73, a patient at Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital since December 10th, died at 11:15 p.m. last Saturday night, January 17th.
Mrs. Borman had been making her home with her daughter Mrs. Edith M. Ford of Carey Drive, Grass Valley, since the death of her husband, the late George A. Borman in January 1956.
A native of South Dakota, where she was born November 13, 1885, Mrs. Borman was a small child when the family moved to the Santa Cruz area. She spent most of her life in and about San Francisco and the peninsula.
Mr. and Mrs. Borman had come to Nevada County for quite a few years after they purchased a summer home in the North San Juan area. About seven years ago they returned to this county to make their home, which endured until the death of Mr. Borman.
Bereaved by her passing are a daughter, Edith M. Ford, Grass Valley; a son, George A. Borman, Truckee; five sisters, Bertha D. Titus, San Francisco; Aletha Adams, San Francisco; Maude Campbell, North San Juan; Lena Lockwood, Pacoima, California; Letty Doyle, New York City; a brother, Merton Titus, Salinas; two grandsons, James J. Ford, Chico and Robert G. Borman, Santa Cruz.
Funeral services have been arranged for 11 a.m. tomorrow, Tuesday, January 20th and will be held at the Hooper-Weaver Mortuary chapel with Rev. Robert Findley of Nevada City Methodist Church officiating. Cremation will follow at Sierra View, Marysville.
