Word was received of the death of Dorothy Marie Kurtz, 84, of Raintree Road, Columbia. She died of natural causes June 1 at home.

A homemaker, she was the wife of the late Cloyd R. Kurtz.

Mrs. Kurtz was a member of First Church of God, Columbia.

She enjoyed making quilts during the winter.

Born in Columbia, she was the daughter of the late Calvin and Mable Ness.

Surviving are three sons, Cloyd, married to Donna Kurtz, and Donald, married to Barbara Kurtz, both of Columbia, and Ralph, married to Annette Kurtz of Mountville; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; four sisters, Bertha Witmer of Mount Joy, Flora Rhinehart of Juniata County, Anna Fry of Mountville and Emma McClune of Lancaster; and a brother, Harry Ness of Virginia.

She was preceded in death by a son, Charles.
