Funeral services for George C. Bond, 48, of 130 Manchester Ave., will be conducted Wednesday at 3 p.m. from Wright and Ferguson chapel, with Rev. Carroll Jackson, pastor of Fairview Baptist Church of Copperas Cove, Texas, officiating, assisted by Dr. W.R. Storie, pastor of Emmanuel Baptist Church of Jackson. Interment will be in Lakewood Memorial Park, with military rites at the graveside.
Bond's survivors include his widow, the former Ruth Hill of Meadville, and one son, George Charles ("Chuck") Bond, age 9, both of Jackson; two sisters, Mrs. F.W. Eppinette of Vidalia, La., and Mrs. John R. Berret of Elizabeth, N.J.; three brothers, Eugene L. Bond of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma., Estus W. Bond of San Antonio, Texas, and Oscar Handy Bond of Ferriday, La.
