Mrs. Brister was a lifelong resident of West Monroe. She had been a member of First Baptist Church of West Monroe since childhood.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Brister; and her parents, Daniel Vincent and Minnie Chapman Bareswill.
She was survived by a step-son, Chris and wife Brenda Brister; two sisters, Norma Brown Moses and Francis Myer; a brother, Wayne and wife Gayle Bareswill; nieces and nephews, Patti and husband Joe McGahan, Deborah and husband Ricky Pace, Vince Bareswill, Mardell Toombs, and Bill and Terry Myer; numerous great-nieces and great-nephews; and step great-grandson, Clint Brister.
