Coressa Veal Hornsby age 82 passed away Sunday April 22, 2018. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 25, Snow Hill Cemetery in Wilkinson County.
Mrs. Hornsby was a native and resident of Milledgeville. She was a retired Supervisor at Central State Hospital with 34 years of service. She was preceded in death by her parents Louie Evans and Nina Frost Veal, her husband Floyd William Hornsby, sisters and brothers, Claire V. Quinn, Carol Lynn Veal, Louie Evans “Buddy” Veal, Jr., and Ernest Veal. She was a member of Hardwick Baptist Church where she served as a Deacon a member of the Church Choir, the Church Food Pantry and was a Sunday School Teacher for over 40 years.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 5:00 until 6:00 p.m. at Moores Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hardwick Baptist Church or to Serenity Hospice.
