Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at St Lawrence Catholic Church in Duelm for Alma M. Kowarsch, 81, who died Thursday, Mar. 19, 1998, at St. Cloud Hospital. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Foley Funeral Home. Christian Mothers will pray at 6:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home in Foley followed by parish prayers at 7:30.

Alma Kowarsch was born Oct. 3, 1916 in Duelm to William and Clara (Kampa) Herbst She married Clarence Kowarsch on Sept. 23, 1935, in St Lawrence Catholic Church, Duelm. She had lived in St. Paul for 25 years before moving to Clear Lake in 1977. She was a member of St Lawrence Catholic Church, Duelm, where she was a member of Christian Mothers and Guild of Catholic Women.

Survivors include sons and daughters, Jerry and Richard of Forest Lake, Eugene of Kelsey, Mary Beth Stafki and Alma Kowarsch Doug of Stacy, Steve of Shafer, Sandra Forster of Ham Lake, Pamela Sword of Somerset, Wis.; 21 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; sisters and brother, Dorothy Tomporowski and William of Duelm, Clara Tait of Scottsdale, Ariz., and Lucille Ziebol of Richfield.

She was preceded in death by her husband, 1986; and brothers, Ervin, Carrol, Leonard and Ernest.
