Marjorie Ann Lau, 82, of Austin, Minnesota, died at her home on Friday, April 20, 2018.
Marjorie was born April 28, 1935, in Lyle, Minnesota, to Verne and Ethel (Nelson) Bell. She graduated from Lyle High School in 1953 and on April 28, 1954, she married Arvid “Bud” Lau in Lyle.
Marjorie loved spending time with her family and enjoyed sitting outside in the sunshine. She was known as “the rock and heart” of her family. She provided many hours of care for her grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Her listening ear will always be missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Jane.
Marjorie is survived and truly missed by her husband, Arvid “Bud” Lau, Austin; sons, Doug Lau, Albert Lea, Minnesota, and Tim (Amy) Lau, Austin; grandsons, Jeremy Lau and Aaron Lau; granddaughter, Emilee Lau; great-grandchildren, Ethan and Grace Lau; sister, Carol (Oscar) Huff, Austin; brother, David (Carolyn) Bell, Albert Lea; sisters-in-law; brothers-in-law; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, April 24 at Clasen-Jordan Mortuary. Interment will be at Grandview Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour before the service on Tuesday.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
