He was a retired auto mechanic and had worked at Famous-Barr Tire Company in St. Louis.
He was a member of Widman's Harley Davidson, Kirkwood, MO chapter.
He was a 1963 Thayer High School graduate.
Survivors include his wife, Laverne Lorance Crase of Dupo, IL; two sons, Brian Crase and Joseph Crase both of Dupo, IL; a daughter, Debbie (and Don) Beaver of Waterloo, IL; four brothers, Glenn (and Marcella) Crase of Thayer, MO; Bill (and Linda) Crase of Thayer, MO; Jim (and Judy) Crase of Higland, IL; Darrell (and Jan) Crase of Shawnee Mission, KS; three sisters, Leta Forester of Thayer, MO; Nita Hinkle of Thayer, MO; and Janet (and Chris) Brewer of Fenton, MO; two sisters-in-law, Barbara (and Tom) Henderson of St. Peters, MO, and Sharon (and Ron) Ballance of Clovis, NM; a dear cousin, Don (and Pat) Crase of St. Louis; six grandchildren;; and other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Charles Crase.
A memorial service was at the graveside at Thayer Cemetery Aug. 7, with the Rev. Jason Roberts officiating. Arrangements by Lawlor Funeral Home of Columbia, IL.
