William Allison Bowers, age 77, of Stump Creek died Monday Aug. 11, 2014, after a short illness.
He was born in Big Run Sept. 2, 1936, the son of Arthur and Myrtle Yohe Bowers, both deceased.
William married (wife living) and had one child, (living) of Florida. Both survive.
Also surviving are three grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and three brothers.
Mr. Bowers attended Punxsutawney schools and retired from Beaver Meadows Creamery in DuBois after more than 40 years of service. The most important thing to him was spending time with his family. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Services will be announced at a later date . The Leo Nedza Funeral Home of Sykesville is in charge of arrangements.
