According to a source, Daniel Griswold and his father-in-law John Griswold were deacons at the Con. Church at Kenilworth. Daniel Griwsold, like his father and grandfather, was a deputy for Killingworth from 1732 off and on until 1735 for at least three sessions.

According to the Barbour Collection, Killingworth Vital Records:
Vol. 1, p. 77, his birthdate was 25 Oct 1696
[GRISWOLD DANIELL s[on of] John b: 25 Oct 1696].
Vol. 1, p. 89, his death date was 10 Sep 1737.
[Griswould, Lt. Daniel d; 10 Sept 1737].

However, his listing in the 1934 Hale Collection (CT State Library) reading indicates he was aged 39 at his death.

His grave is adjacent to that of his daughter "Bathsheba" (mistaken as "Bathsheba").
