Norma Louise Anderson, 82, of Felch MI, passed away peacefully into the arms of her Heavenly Father surrounded by her family at Aurora BayCare Medical Center in Green Bay, WI on Sunday, January 21st 2018.

Norma was born November 17, 1935 in Iron Mountain, MI, daughter of the late Theodore and Esther (Blomquist) Anderson. She graduated from Felch High School in 1953 and was a lifelong resident of the area.

The local community was the beneficiary of Norma’s work life. She worked at First National Bank of Iron Mountain, the Felch CO-OP, enjoyed cooking at Blomquist Diner, and eventually retired from North Dickinson County School after nearly 26 years.

A woman of strong faith, Norma was a very active member of Zion Lutheran Church in Felch. Norma was immensely comforted by the unwavering assurance that God was ultimately in complete control of everything, and that He held her hand as she journeyed through the battles of cancer. Her strength and courage over the past two years was remarkable. Beloved by everyone who knew her, Norma continually put others ahead of herself by volunteering her time in and around the community. Norma had a great sense of humor and found laughter to be the best medicine throughout her life. Her greatest joy was spending time with family and friends.
Norma is survived by four children, Dawn (Allen) Sommers, Teresa Anderson (John Foster), Karla (Rob) Massie and Jeff (Nicki) Anderson; three grandchildren, Blake Beauchamp, Emmalee Massie and Olivia Beauchamp; her sister-in-law and best friend, Janice Anderson; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. How she loved them all!
In addition to her parents, Norma was preceded in death by a brother, Vernon Anderson.
We ask that when you think or our mother you remember her for her kindness, compassion and her generous spirit. She asked us not to be sad, so we ask the same of you.
