Hazel Virginia Lanham, 81, of Ravenswood, WV, passed away Monday, April 16, 2018 at St. Francis Hospital, Charleston, WV.

She was born October 19, 1936 in Sugarcreek, WV, a daughter of the late Emmett and Georgia Pearl (Young) Lanham.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her sisters, Lola Abbott, Thelma Kidd, Bobby Wilson, and Deloris Wolfe; brothers, Bernard Smith and Lewis Lanham.

She was a retired cook at several local restaurants including M&R Restaurant, McCoy’s Motor Lodge, and the Daniel Boone Restaurant. Her hobbies included reading, painting and caring for her family.

Survivors include her daughters, Lori Pearl Lanham of Greensboro, N.C. and Sandra Lynette Mahood of Ravenswood; grandson, Dakota Keith Mahood of Ravenswood.

Service will be 1 p.m., Friday, April 20, 2018 at Casto Funeral Home Chapel, Ravenswood with Pastor Allen Stewart officiating. Burial will follow in Blaine Memorial Cemetery, Cottageville, WV. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Friday at the funeral home.
