SULPHUR SPRINGS - Funeral services for Cyble Bearden Gamblin, 84, of Russellville, Ark., formerly of Sulphur Springs, were held 1 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2005, at Spence Chapel of First Baptist Church, with the Rev. Fred Lewis officiating. Burial was in Greenview Cemetery, with arrangement by Tapp Funeral Home.
Mrs. Gamblin died Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2005 in Russellville. She was born Sept. 30, 1921, in Avery, the daughter of Vernon Eunice and Ola Mae Walker Bearden.
On Dec. 22, 1942, she married D.N. "Nokomis" Gamblin in Amarillo. Mrs. Gamblin worked with her husband in the farming and ranching business and was a homemaker.
She was a member of First Baptist Church of Sulphur Springs and First Baptist Church of Avery, before joining Second Baptist Church of Russellville.
Survivors include her daughters, Karen Williamson of Marshall, Kathy Teaff of Russellville, Ark., and Karla Jones of Plano; three sisters, Elva Mae Wall of Denver, Colo., Dorothy Brandt of Toledo, Ore., and Ruth Gilliland of Tyler; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Her grandsons and nephews served as pallbearers.
