Benjamin died before the oldest extant records for Greenwood Cemetery begin. Although the New York Death Index, 1852-1956, would appear to cover the year of his death, Towns and Villages were not required to report vital statistics until 1884. The only evidence of his burial in Greenwood is his marker, which has obviously seen better days. He is shown in cemetery records as the owner of Section D, Lot 61, the lot on which he is buried.
