Ruth Ann Linch, 85, Bethany, MO (formerly of Ottumwa, IA) passed away surrounded by her family on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at a Bethany, MO nursing home.

She was born August 17, 1932 in Ottumwa, Iowa the daughter of Van and Martha Carter.

On February 21, 1953, Ruth married the love of her life, John R. Linch. He preceded her in death on June 8, 1982.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; one brother; six sisters and a step-daughter, Patty (Bill) Fisher.

Ruth was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Bethany, MO, Order of the Eastern Star in Ottumwa, Iowa and the Beta Beta Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority in Bethany, MO. For many years, she worked as a bookkeeper for Esely Law Firm and Davis Snyder Quarries in Bethany.

Left to honor Ruth’s life are a daughter, Cindy (Linch) McKinny; step-son, John D. (Linda) Linch; her beloved 8 grandchildren, Teresa, Billy, Keith, John R. (Debbie), Mike (Raquel), Kara (Marcus), Jonathan, and Lauren and 8 great-grandchildren, Emily (Zach), Jacob, Lydia, Dylan, Brittany, Maddox, Jaxon and Ava Ruth.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 18 at Roberson Funeral Home, Bethany, MO. Burial will follow in the Miriam Cemetery, Bethany, MO.
