Mrs. Rosemary Barnett Stone, born on January 30, 1928 in Dallas, Texas, to the late Marshall David Barnett and the late Eunice Hicks Barnett, passed away at age 90 on March 25, 2018 in Sarasota, Florida, where she resided with her daughter. Rosemary grew up in Dallas, Texas. She graduated from Baylor university in 1947.
She married the late Richard Bowles Stone in 1949 in Dallas and had three children. The family moved to Birmingham, Michigan in 1963 and resided there until 1979. She then moved to La Canada, California and then Bellevue, Washington when Richard changed jobs. She was a secretary at Pac Med, in Seattle, until retiring in 1998 and the business owner of Mailbox Etc. in Kirkland until retiring in 2001. Her job as "Mom" was her favorite, and she was a mother to many.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Linda Susan Stone; brothers, Marshall David Barnett Jr, and Robert Barnett; and sister, Beverly Ann Barnett. Rosemary is survived by her son, Richard Brian Stone; daughter, Sharon Ruth Stone; brother, Fred Barnett; sister, Jerrisue Hash; and grandchildren, Michael Stone, Brian Stone, and Dylan Stone.
Rosemary was involved in a bridge club, a book club and Westminster Chapel. In 2009, Rosemary moved to Newton, Massachusetts to be near her grandchildren. She later moved to Sarasota with her daughter.
