Martha Lou Parker passed away Friday, April 6, 2018 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 93. She was born on February 22, 1925 in Chelsea, Oklahoma, the sixth of seven children to William Albion Parker and Mary Ellen Chamberlain Parker.
She attended and was baptized at First United Methodist Church in Tulsa. She graduated from Tulsa's Central High School in 1943. After World War II, she worked for Sunray DX Oil Company and remained with it and its many successors until her retirement in 1982.
She was preceded in death by her parents; by all her brothers and sisters and their spouses, Norman (Mollie) Parker, Bill Parker, Viola (Doug) Smith, Jane (Ralph) Erwin, Nelson (Nima) Parker, and Charles (Betty) Parker; by nieces and nephews Jack Parker, Ralph Erwin, Bill Erwin, and Janie Erwin, and by great-niece Jenny Erwin and great-nephews Rick Parker and Ross Erwin.
The family suggests memorial contributions may be made to St Jude's Children's Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105. A graveside service, officiated by Dr James D Miller, will be conducted at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at Floral Haven Cemetery, Broken Arrow, OK in the Veteran's Field of Honor section. Moore's Southlawn is coordinating the interment.
