When yet young she became a member of the Lutheran Church through the rite of Confirmation, and remained a member of that church until the end of her life.
On March 3, 1898 she was married to Albert Kocher of Onaga. This union was blessed with eight children. She lived near Onaga all her life, and during that long time she gained many friends.
Remaining to mourn her departure are her husband, Albert Kocher; eight children: Carl;, of Onaga, Katherine of Kansas City, Missouri; Bernard of Salina, Herman and Louise of Onaga, Margaret Vaughn of Kansas City, Missouri, Arnold of Saline, and Harvey of Onaga; also eight grandchildren, two sisters, and a number of other relatives and a host of friends.
Funeral services were held on Monday afternoon, May 24, in the St. Luke's Lutheran Church, Rev. O. H. Praeuner officiating.
The remains were laid to rest in the St. Luke's Lutheran Cemetery.
