Sue O’Quinn Osusky , 96, most recently of Plano and Dallas, TX, died April 10, 2018. She was born Susie Pearl O’Quinn August 10, 1921, to the late Ruth Crosby and Milton Hardy O’Quinn in Wayne County. She was a graduate of the 1939 class of Jesup High School. In addition to her parents, Sue was predeceased by her husband of 73 years, M.A. (Mel) Osusky who died February 24, 2018, shortly after having reached 100 years of age. Mel was a veteran of WWII and worked for many years with United Airlines. He was determined to reach the 100 year mark and did so December 1, 2017. Family and friends gathered in Plano with Mel and Sue to celebrate Mel’s 100 years of life. The Osusky’s were married for 73 years. In addition to her husband and parents, Sue was predeceased by three siblings who reached adulthood, Gladys O.Cameron, Jeannette O. Rogers, and Joe Donald O’Quinn. Although Sue worked outside of her home at times, she was primarily a housewife. She was a loving mother and grandmother who was well known for her outstanding cooking and baking. Sue was a meticulous housekeeper, a talented seamstress, an excellent conversationalist, and an avid reader. She loved her family, and found special joy in her four granddaughters and one great granddaughter.

Survivors of Sue and Mel include two sons and daughter-in-law, Al and Helen Osusky of Netcong, NJ and Donald Osusky of NJ; one daughter, Diane Osusky of GA; granddaughters, Helene (Erik) McNeff of Lake Hopatcong, NJ, Alyssa (Sean) Hutchinson of Hackettstown, NJ, Cyndy Osusky (Miguel Valdez) of Tucson, AZ, Renee Austin (Jason Ivey) of Carrollton, TX, and great-granddaughter Scarlett Hutchinson. Survivors also include their son-in-law Bob (Karen) Austin of Nacadoches, TX; nephews, Bill (Shelia) and John Rogers of Jesup and niece Carolyn (Curt) Holmes of Warner Robins. The family is especially grateful to Renee and Jason for their outstanding care of both of her grandparents. Private memorials have been held.
