Born in Edmunds Maine Abby Lucretia was the daughter of Stephen Hayward and Ida Smith. She was known as Lucretia.
Lucretia married William A. Dudley on March 9, 1903 in Edmunds and later that year they had a son Stephen Hildreth Dudley. They had two more children, Ida Leona in 1905 and Lucretia in 1907, the latter of whom died as a baby.
William died in 1910 and Lucretia married William (Willie) Sherrard son of Robert Sherrard and Emma Knowlton of Perry on Dec 12, 1914 in Edmunds. She was his second wife. They had a daughter Eveline"Evie" S. Sherrard in 1915.
In 1920 Willie and Lucretia are in the 1920 census in Dennysville, he is 36 and she is 38. With them are Lucretia's children, Evie S. Sherrard age 5, Hildreth S. Dudley age 16, and Ida L. Dudley age 14. In 1925 Willie and Lucretia were still in Dennysville when he was a witness at the wedding of Stephen (Hildreth) Dudley to Iva Belle Dickinson.
In 1930 Willie and Lucretia, along with daughters Evie Sherrard and Ida Leona Dudley (now Doyle) and family are in Quincy Mass and in 1940 they are in Boston.
Willie died in 1954 and Lucretia in 1881. Both are buried in Dennysville Cemetery as is Lucretia's first husband William Dudley.
