WASHBURN - Lois Jean Nuske, 87, of Washburn passed away Monday, April 9, 2018.
Burial will follow at Linn-Mt. Vernon Cemetery in Washburn.
Lois was born on November 22, 1930, in Peoria, IL, to Lee and Ida (Todd) Held. She married Elmer C. Nuske on April 11, 1950, in Washburn, Illinois. He preceded her in death on October 1, 1990.
Surviving are her children, Mike (Sharyl) Nuske of East Peoria, Debbie Nuske of Peoria and adopted son, Sergio Volnani of Italy; son-in-law, Larry Zoss, of Tremont; her grandchildren, Sarah (Doug) Lewis of Morton, Becky Zoss of Tremont and Jenna (Scott) Buffington of East Peoria; her great-grandchildren, Noah, Kent and Seandon; her sister, Mary Fitschen of Washburn; and three sisters-in-law, Jeanette Nuske, Betty Meister and Betty Ann Nuske.
Her parents; one daughter, Linda Zoss; one brother, Arthur Held; and one daughter-in-law, Maggi Nuske, preceded her in death.
Lois was a longtime member of the Washburn United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women. She was a homemaker.
