MRS. WILLIAM M. REED
Mrs. Emma Reed, 69, wife of William Reed, 53 S. Pine St., was pronounced dead upon arrival at Newark hospital at 5:20 a.m. Friday. She had been in failing health 10 years.
Mrs. Reed, who had resided in Newark 42 years, was born July 2, 1888(sic), in Athens County, the daughter of George(sic) and Elliamia(sic) (Standall) Stone.
Her first husband, Benjamin C. Coakley, died Oct. 30, 1956, and May 8, 1957, she was married to William M. Reed, who survives. She also leaves three sons and two daughters: Floyd Coakley of Cleveland, Bernard and Forrest Coakley, both of Newark, Miss L. Marie Coakley and Mrs. Wendell Yates, both of Newark; also five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; three step sons, Floyd and Charles Reed, both of Newark, RFD 3, and William Reed of Newark. She was the last of her immediate family. The deceased was a member of Pine Street Christian Union Church.
The body is at the Ross Henderson Funeral Home where Rev. H. E. Doyle will officiate services at 2:30 p.m. Monday. Burial will be made in Wilson Cemetery.
