William C Rowden, retired farmer, died Tuesday at his home at Ellenwood. He would have been 88 years of age Friday.
Mr Rowden was a member of Anvil Block Methodist Church. His wife, the former Jennie Stephenson, died three months ago.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 pm Thursday at Lowndes' Chapel. The Rev Truman D Brooks and the Rev J Don Aderhold will officiate. Burial will be in Tanners Baptist Church cemetery.
Survivors include three sons, G W Rowden, Ellenwood; L H Rowden, Birmingham, Ala, and M A Rowden, Jacsonville, Fla; four daughters, Mrs E M Bond, Ellenwood; Mrs C W C Moore, Talladega, Ala; Mrs W E Mitchell, Dallas, Texas, and Mrs E E Treadwell Jr, Decatur, and three sisters, Miss Ida Rowden, Mrs Artie Tanner and Mrs H B Cowan, all of Atlanta.
