Services for Mr. Modrall will be at 1 PM on Wednesday, July 30, 2008 at Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home. Interment will be at Wilson County Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 4-8 PM on Tuesday, July 29 at Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home. Mr. Modrall, 91, died on July 26, 2008.
He was retired from Bell South Telephone Company and RCA at Cape Canaveral, Cocoa, Beach, Florida. After retiring, he was employed with Walmart in Lebanon. His many hobbies were gardening, yard work and his music.
He was a member of the Masonic Masons for 50 years and an active member of the First Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Lee Modrall and his wife, Mable Phillips Modrall. Survived by: sisters, Alene Claxton and Loretta (Falton) Freeman; daughters, Patsy Modrall and Christina (Mitch) Liss; son, Jimmy (Priscilla) Modrall of Florida; step-son, Wallace (Rose) Baird; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Tom Phillips, Tom Hancock, Brian Keith, Randall Keith, Bubba Phillips, Butch Hanson and Mike Kurtz. Honorary pallbearers are the Volunteer Sunday School Class of the First Baptist Church.
