Ray Hartman, of 130 N. Fifth street, died in the Renovo Hospital at 8 o'clock Thursday evening two hours after he suffered an embolism while at his duties in the Renovo shops. He was aged 53 years, 5 months and 29 days.
His family, notified of his attack, left immediately for Renovo, but arrived after he had died.
He was a native of Limestoneville, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Harris Hartman, deceased. Twenty five years ago he came to this city, and was thereafter engaged as boilermaker for the Pennsylvania Railroad on the Williamsport division, first in this city, and later at Renovo.
He is survived by his wife and two daughters, Mrs. Freeman Wilhour, Sunbury, and Mrs. James McPherson of Northumberland; two brothers, Frank of Milton and Bruce of New York City; and 6 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock in the Shipman Memorial Chapel. Rev. Dr. Chester W. Todd, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church will officiate. Burial will be in the West Side Cemetery. Friends may call at the Shipman Memorial Chapel Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.
