Mrs. Bert H. Durey passed away at Mercy hospital in Cedar Rapids, Saturday of last week, following several weeks of illness, and following an operation to which she submitted about two weeks ago. The remains were brought to this city and taken to her home, on East Fayette street, from which funeral services were conducted Monday afternoon and interment made in Oakland cemetery. Rev. J. F. Moore, of the Congregational church conducted the services.

Anna Irene Grigg was born at Hopkinton, Iowa, June 20, 1881, and a greater part of her life was spent in the vicinity of Hopkinton. On October 10, 1898, she was united in marriage with Mr. S. Christy, of Meridian, Iowa, and to this union was born one child - Cora Irene. Her marriage with Mr. B. H. Durey took place on April 12th, 1912. Immediately after their marriage Mr. and Mrs. Durey took up their residence in Manchester, where Mrs. Durey formed a wide circle of acquaintances to whom her death is a source of deep sorrow.

Mrs. Durey leaves to mourn her death, her husband, and daughter, and her parents, Mr. and Mrs. R. S. Grigg, and three sisters, Mrs. C. M. Hodger of Morillie, Iowa, Mrs. J. P. Smith, of Ryan, and Mrs. S. L. Uhle of Mears, Michigan; and two brothers, P. M. Grigg of Cedar Rapids, and John R. Grigg of Cherokee, Iowa.

Mr. Durey and the relatives have the sympathy of many friends in this time of great sorrow.
