CHARLES HOTT GABE, 441 West Antietam Street, died at his home Tuesday at 2 a.m., of complications, following an illness of 8 weeks, aged 64 years. Born and reared in Boonsboro, he was the son of Charles and Lucinda Gabe and had been residing in this city for the past 40 years.

He was a member of St. Paul's Evangelical U.B. Church, Woodmen of the World and the Western Enterprise Fire Company. He was employed for a number of years by the Southern Ribbon Company.

He is survived by wife, Anna M. (Lipps) Gabe; son, Charles A., this city; sisters, Mrs. Mary W. Shoemaker, Chicago, Ill.; Mrs. Florence Yost, this city; Mrs. Daisy E. Doyle and Mrs. Maude A. Palmer, both of Boonsboro; brothers, Harry A., and Dwight S., both of Hagerstown; and two grandchildren.

Services were held at the A.K. Coffman. Interment in Rest Haven Cemetery.
