Almindo, Joseph A. SELKIRK Joseph A. Almindo, 65, entered eternal life March 17, 2012. Joseph graduated from Ravena Coeymans High School, SUNY Albany and RPI with an MBA. He served in the New York National Guard and retired from Matthew Bender in 2005 and the NYS Office of the State Comptroller in December, 2011. Survivors include his daughter, Elizabeth Almindo; grandchildren, Airelle Grober and Christina Palmer; siblings, Burton Almindo, Virginia Corsi, Frank Almindo and Louise Almindo; also survived by several nieces and nephews. Joseph was predeceased by his parents, Biagio and Rose Almindo; sisters, Mary Stumpo and Frances Zanetti; brothers, Michael and James Almindo. The family would like to give a special thank you to Sherrie Grober and the staff at the Hospice Inn at St. Peter's Hospital for their compassion and support through this difficult time. Funeral services will be held 9 a.m. Wednesday, March 21 at St. Patrick's Church, Ravena. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Joseph may be made to Mohawk & Hudson River Humane Society, 3 Oakland Ave., Menands, NY 12204 or St. Patrick's Church, 21 Main St., Ravena, NY 12143.
