Gail Elaine Apperson Harris, 71, of Tifton passed away Monday, March 26, 2018, at the Rehabilitation Center of South Georgia in Tifton. Her funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Thursday, March 29, 2018, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Andy Ring officiating. Mrs. Harris will be laid to rest at Oak Ridge Cemetery.
Born December 4, 1946 in Tifton, Mrs. Harris was the daughter of the late Louis Apperson and Jocie Lee Tucker Apperson. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Theron Apperson and James Cecil Apperson; one sister, Wilma Apperson Eubanks; two sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Brown and Elouise Holman; a nephew, David Apperson; and a niece. Before retiring, she worked as a para-professional at Len Lastinger Elementary.
Mrs. Harris is survived by her husband, Lonnie C. Harris of Tifton; one son and daughter-in-law ;one daughter and son-in-law; her grandchildren; two brothers-in-law; her nieces and their husbands; and her nephews and their wives.
