Jimmy E. Overstreet, 79, of Youngstown, FL passed away on Friday, March 30, 2018, at a local healthcare facility. A native of Barnwell, SC, Jimmy resided in Bay County for 40 years. He served in the USAF for 27 years, including a tour in Vietnam, and retired as a CMSGT. After retirement, he worked for the State of Florida, Division of Hotels & Restaurants, as in inspector for 15 years. Jimmy was a Denver Broncos fan and enjoyed fishing and trips to Biloxi.

Jimmy was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Annie Laura McCants and Vera Bramlett, and 2 brothers, Ralph Overstreet and Alf Overstreet. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Kathy Overstreet; 2 children, Jimmy E. Overstreet, Jr., and Becky Smith (Troy); 3 grandchildren, Brady A. Smith, Scout L. Smith and Kaylee M. Overstreet.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 3, 2018, at 2:00 p.m. at Kent Forest Lawn Chapel with Pastor Hunter Dennison officiating. Interment will follow the service at Evergreen Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends and visitors on Monday evening, April 2, 2018, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
