Francis Hergott
MT. SAVAGE — Francis Hergott, 93, who was employed by the Cumberland and Pennsylvania Railroad for 55 years prior to his retirement, died early yesterday at the home of his son, W. Frank Hergott, Mt. Savage Road.
Mr. Hergott was a son of the late Harry and Rachel (Lottig) Hergott. He went to work for the railroad when he was 10 years old. He was a member of St. George's Episcopal Church.
His wife, Mrs. Laura (Bever) Hergott, died 35 years ago.
Surviving are another son, Oliver, Mt. Savage Road; one daughter, Mrs. Carl [Gladys] Balsley, Cumberland; five grandchildren, Carl Balsley, Leroy Balsley and Mrs. Manola Kirkpatrick, Frostburg; Mrs. Albert [Barbara] Davis, Detroit. Mich., and Mrs. George T. [Dorothy] Hughes, at home.
Two great-grandchildren, Helen Hergott, a student nurse at Allegany Hospital, Cumberland, and Judy Ann Hughes, at home, also survive.
The body will remain at the home of his son, W. Frank Hergott.

Gravesite Details
Frank and Laura share a grave-marker. From the stone service building, follow the footpath two-thirds of the way to the first intersection. Frank's and Laura's graves are about 50 feet up the hill.
