Ronald L. Shuey, 85, of Tower City, passed away March 29.

Born in Wiconisco, Nov. 21, 1932, he was a son of the late Walter and Evelyn Bateman Shuey.

Ron was a 1950 graduate of the former Wiconisco High School. He was an Army veteran during the Korean Era.

He was retired from the payroll and quality control department at the former Wilcox Forging, Mechanicsburg.

Ron was a member of St. Christopher's Lutheran Church, Lykens; a member, past master and served as secretary for over 25 years at the Ashlar Lodge, 570 F&AM, Lykens; Tower City Porter Rotary Club, where he was past president; Harrisburg Scottish Rites Consistory, Zembo Shrine, Tremont Royal Arch Chapter No. 221, Regal Council No. 65, Prince of Peace Commander No. 39; Tower Porter Old Homeweek Committee; Lykens American Legion; a life member of Wiconisco Fire Company; Dauphin County Fireman's Association; and the Wiconisco Alumni.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Thomas and James Shuey.

Surviving are his wife, Karen Adams Shuey, with whom he would have celebrated 46 years of marriage on Friday; two daughters, Andrea Grissinger and her husband, Joshua, Tower City, and Denise Saunders and her husband, Eric, Dillsburg; two brothers, Sidney Shuey, Dillsburg, and Bertram Shuey, Landisburg; seven grandchildren he was very proud of, Elijah, Evelyn, Cathleen, Ronald, Ethan, Julia and Patrick; nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday from St. Christopher's Lutheran Church, Lykens, with Pastor Del Attech Del. Burial with military honors will be in the Calvary United Methodist Cemetery, Wiconisco. Viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday from the Chapel of the Dimon Funeral Home Inc., Tower City, with Masonic services beginning at 6:15, and also from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church.
