Dorothy Dot Shivers, 92, formerly of Taylorville and Savoy, IL passed away on Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at the Farmer City Nursing Home in Farmer City, IL.
Dot was born on September 28, 1925 in Stonington, IL to Archie and Yolande (Jouglet) Glasgow. She married Raymond LaBrecque on June 10, 1944. She later married Robert Shivers in 1976.
Survivors include her son, Bruce (Annette) LaBrecque of Champaign; Granddaughters Stacey (Terry) Cole, Nikki (Chad) Slack, and Kate LaBrecque; and 6 great-grandchildren.
Her daughter, Donna Rae LaBrecque, preceded her in death.
Dot collected angel figurines, loved bingo, trips to Vegas, garage sales, and attending auctions. She shared her kind and giving heart with her family and friends. For the last few years, Dots son provided the same kind and giving care to her, for which her family will be forever grateful.
Morgan Funeral Home is handling arrangements. There will be a private service and no visitation.
