Joeann Baker of Grayson, Kentucky passed away on Saturday, March 27, 2018. She was born on May 25th, 1935, the daughter of the Late Ruby Workman Stamper and Acie Stamper.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George W. “Bill” Baker and her son Bobby V. Jones Jr. Joeann attended New Life Victory church, a member of the Carter County Art Guild, Grayson Area Chamber of Commerce Memory Days Committee, recipient of Chamber of Commerce Keystone Award and a Kentucky Colonel. She is survived by five children: Mary Ann (Lee Duckworth) of Lakeland FL; Kathy Jo (Ed Blessing), Steven PA; Barbara (Carl Craft), Olive Hill KY; Karen (David McRoberts, Vanceburg KY; George W. Baker, Jr., Grayson KY; nine grandchildren, Bobby V. Jones III, Sammy Tilsley, Andrea Lynn Jones McKnight, Jeremy Traylor, Christy Traylor, Jason Sammons, Craig McRoberts, Joshua Baker and Devon Baker. and five great-grandchildren; two special cousins, Vernadean Dixon, Clearwater FL and Jennifer Edwards, Marco Island FL.
Funeral service will be held at Monday, 1:00 p.m. at Malone Funeral Home. Burial will be in East Carter County Memory Gardens. Visitation will be Monday 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at funeral home. Condolences may be sent to family at www.malonefuneralhome.com.
