REX C. TENEYCK , 88
GREENVILLE — Rex C. TenEyck, 88, of Greenville, formerly of Plainwell, passed away late Sunday evening, Jan. 27, 2002 at University of Michigan Hospital, Ann Arbor. The son of John and Iva Carlyle TenEyck, he was born Nov. 26, 1913, in Rockford. Following graduation from Rockford High School, Rex went on to attend Michigan State University and was a proud member of the M S U Alumni Association. On Sept. 9, 1939, in Greenville, he married the former Elizabeth P. Bradley. A veteran of World War II, he served with the U.S. Army Quartermaster Corps and helped plan the invasion of Italy. For 36 years he was a financial planner with American Express, Kalamazoo. Rex also was a member of the Rockford High School Athletic Hall of Fame, past president of Plainwell Rotary Club, a member of Otwellegan Country Club and was a recipient of the Paul Harris Rotary Club Award. Surviving are his wife of 62 years, Elizabeth TenEyck of Greenville; a son and daughter-in-law, John B. and Debbie TenEyck of Mount Clemens; a daughter, Jane Wolfe of Albuquerque , N.M.; three grand-children, Darren , Rebecca and Alan; two great-grandchildren, Kyle and Caitlyn; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Curt and Nancy Bradley of Greenville; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother-in-law, William T. Bradley. Memorial services are 11 a.m. Thursday at Brown-Teman Funeral Home, Greenville, with the Rev. Jerry Jones, pastor of First Congregational Church, officiating. Envelopes for memorial contributions to the William Crispe Endowment Fund or the Greenville First Congregational Church h are available at the funeral home, where the family will receive relatives and friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday.
