Lang, Paul E. April 30, 1925 – Nov. 12, 2016
TOPEKA—Paul E. Lang, Burlingame, died Nov. 12, 2016, at Midland Hospice House, Topeka. He was 91. He was born April 30, 1925, at Tampa, the son of Rudolph Carl and Bertha Weiss Lang. He attended Chapman High School. He was a member of the U.S. Army from 1945 to 1946. He was a farmer and stockman in the Burlingame area for most of his life. He was a founding member of the Burlingame Saddle Club, a member of the Burlingame 4-H, Burlingame school board, American Legion, Fairplain Grange and Burlingame Lion’s Club. He married Nancy I. Blanton Dec. 31, 1954, at Topeka. She preceded him in death on July 28, 2003. Besides his wife, he was also preceded in death by a son, Daniel Alan Lang, March 27, 2008; a grandson, Joshua David Lang, Sept. 10, 1984; four brothers; and four sisters. He is survived by a daughter, Cynthia Lindsay and husband, Pat, Osage City; two sons, David Lang, Burlingame, and Randal Lang and wife, Becky, Burlingame; two brothers, Milton Lang, Grantville, Mo., and Waldo Lang, Abilene; a sister, Lavella Burgess, Chapman; nine grandchildren, Cori and Cathy Lang, Nathan Lindsay and wife, Triny, Jennifer Wilcoxson and husband, Jake, Ty, Wes and Macy Lang, Casey Montgomery and husband, Matthew and Jacob Lang and wife, April; and six great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be 11 a.m. Nov. 17 at Burlingame Federated Church, Burlingame. Burial will follow at Burlingame Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Huntington’s Disease Society of America and sent in care of Carey Funeral Home, P.O. Box 196, Burlingame, KS 66413.
