John H. Slagle was born June 14, 1956, at Sargent, Ne. to Floyd and Mildred (Hayek) Slagle. John graduated from Sargent High School in 1974. John married Gail Grint July 14, 1979, at Sargent. They farmed and ranch in the Sargent area.
John is survived by his wife Gail Slagle of Sargent, Ne., 3 children John and wife Tanya Slagle of Sargent, Abbey and husband Barton Cron of Kearney, Ne., and Jeff Slagle of Sargent, Ne., 4 grandchildren Macyn, Kya, Paden, and Ellisyn. A brother Floyd and wife Pam Slagle of Sargent, Ne., 2 sisters Shirley and husband Mike Leibert of Lincoln, Ne., and Nancy and husband Chuck Bunner of Sidney, Ne., Brother-in-law Roger Aden of Omaha, NE. John was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Gloria Aden, niece Jamie Bunner, and father-in-law Gerald Grint.
