Billie Jane Ramsey, 74, of Cresaptown, passed away on Saturday, March 24, 2018, at her home.
Born on Sept.4, 1943, in Cumberland, she was the daughter of the late William and Sarah (Ritchie) Kammauff.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Phillip Larry "Buck" Ramsey; and her two sisters, Gertrude Morgan and Beatrice Crider.
Billie was a charter member of the Cresaptown Eagles Aerie 2883 Auxiliary, and the Cresaptown United Methodist Church.
She loved spending time at home with her family, and keeping them "in line."
Billie was a wonderful homemaker, and loved to cook.
Surviving are her children, Faline J. Ramsey and husband John Schneider of Moundsville W.Va., Larry William Ramsey and wife Mona of Cresaptown, Bret Marshall Ramsey and wife Judy, Cresaptown, and Jane Eleanor Ramsey and Tammy McKenzie of LaVale; two grandchildren, Josh Phillip Ramsey and Amber Nichol Cook and husband Chad; three great-grandchildren, Gannon, Griffin and Grayson Cook; and one brother, John Herman Kammauff of Cresaptown.
Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 15205 McMullen Highway SW, Cresaptown, on Wednesday, March 28, 2018, from 3 to 7 p.m. The Cresaptown Eagles Aerie 2883 Auxiliary with conduct a memorial service at 6 p.m.
A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Thursday, March 29, 2018 at 11 a.m. with the Reverend Harold R. McClay, Jr. officiating.
Interment will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens.
