Hazel Boyd Young, 73, a Fort Worth homemaker, died Sunday after a lengthy illness.
A memorial service will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday at First Presbyterian Church, Fort Worth. Entombment will be in Greenwood Mausoleum.
Mrs. Young was born in Salem, Ore., and had lived in Fort Worth for 46 years. She attended John Brown University in Siloam Springs, Ark. and Texas Tech University in Lubbock. During World War II, she and her husband were stationed in Memphis, Tenn. She was a board member of National Farm Life Insurance Co.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Fort Worth Garden Club, Fort Worth Women's Club, Monticello Garden Club, Shady Oaks Country Club, Jewel Charity Ball, Opera Guild of Fort Worth and Canwick Club.
Survivors include a son, William Michael Young of Fort Worth; two sisters, Ruby Boyd Davis of Lubbock and Fern Boyd Young of Crane; and two grandchildren.
