He was born November 15, 1947, in Cherokee City, Arkansas, to Juel and Dorothy mae (Mullins) Asher.
He was a U. S. Army veteran and a farmer.
Johnny is preceded in death by his parents; and three brothers, James Asher, Richard Asher and Jimmy Dale Asher.
Johnny is survived by a daughter, Michelle Landelius; a son, Steve Asher; four sisters, Maxine Asher, Joyce Thompson, Shirley Philpott, and Linda Asher; two brothers, Juel Asher, and Bill Asher; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
A Memorial service will be held at a later date.
