Jacqueline "Jackie" Margaret VanHoose, 72, of Hannibal, MO passed away at 6:08 AM Saturday, March 24, 2018 at her home.

Graveside Services and burial will be at 2:00 PM Thursday, March 29, 2018 at the Greenwood Cemetery in Palmyra, MO. Rev. Tim Goodman will officiate.

There will be a private visitation. The family is being served by the James O'Donnell Funeral Home in Hannibal, MO.

Jackie was born December 17, 1945, in Hannibal, MO to John S. and Dorothy L. Cook Albright.

She was married to Harold VanHoose. He preceded her in death 1992.

Survivors include her sister, Johnna S. Albright Whelan (Michael) of Stoutsville, MO; her sister-in-law, Joan Albright of New London, MO; maternal uncle, Charles E. Cook (Sharon) of Charlotte, MI; nieces , Jennifer Abbott, Beth Carr, Judy Ann Board, and Amanda Whelan; nephews, John Albright, Robbie Albright, Jacob Albright, and Aaron Whelan; and a special friend and caretaker, Mary Irene Adkins. She is also survived by numerous great nieces, great nephews, and cousins.

Jackie was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Johnna "Missy" Michelle Cable, and one brother, William H. "Bill" Albright.

Jackie was a 1963 graduate of Monroe City High School.

Professionally, Jackie worked for Blue Cross and Blue Shield in Quincy, IL in the membership department retiring after many years.

Jackie enjoyed operating Southside Garden Center for many years with her brother, Bill.

Jackie loved animals. She enjoyed spending time with her dogs. Jackie also loved to watch the Cardinals and collect wolf collectibles. Reading horror novels was another pleasure that Jackie enjoyed. Visits to the casino were always fun, where Jackie liked to play the slots. An active and talented bowler in her younger years, Jackie is a member of the Hannibal Women's Bowling Hall of Fame. She was also a member of the Phi Beta Kappa Sorority.

Jackie was also a member of the Southside Baptist Church.

Memorials may be made to the Northeast Missouri Humane Society for Canine Care.
