Lois Carolyn Freshour Brown passed away on March 24, 2018 surrounded by her loving family.

Carolyn was born on December 21, 1942 to the late Doyle and Sara Edna Freshour.

She graduated from PHS in 1961 and worked for the Wood County BOE for many years. Carolyn enjoyed yard sales, cooking and loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and family.

She is survived by two daughters, Cyndee (Gary) Teters and Joyce (Shannon) Miller both of Parkersburg; son, Glenn Brown of Anchorage Alaska; four sisters, Patricia Hale, Phyllis Allen, Jackie Whited and Naomi London; ten grandchildren, Megan, Sarah, Hunter, Ashleigh, Nevaeh, John, Glenn Jr., Travis, Javien, Rhynlei and one on the way, Tobias.

In addition to her parents, Carolyn was preceded in death by Charles E. Brown; daughter, Linda Kay; and siblings, Ada Riser, Helen, Elsie and Robert Freshour.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, south Parkersburg with Pastor Nathan Copen officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
